Wine Pairing Update for Choucroute Garnie Dinner!

February 21, 2017 by Food Dude

Announcing the wine pairings for this month’s themed dinner!

Greetings! This month’s themed dinner in the café is Choucroute Garnie! It’s a The traditional Alsatian meal featuring warmed sauerkraut and house made sausages. Our sommelier Brent Braun has chosen some lovely regional wines for you to imbibe while you’re enjoying a hearty meal with friends!

The first course which is an endive salad will be paired with the sparkling Kuentz-Bas, Crémant d’Alsace, Alsace, France NV.

The choucroute garnie itself will get Leon Boesch, ‘Les Pierres Rouges,’ Sylvaner, Alsace, France, 2014.

The three course meal is $40 and the optional wine pairings are $15.

We hope you’ll join us for our communal kick-off dinner on Wednesday the 22nd at 6:30pm, but you’re free to join us over the rest of the week for your helping of choucroute! Please call the café in advance for the Wednesday seating (503-231-9959). Reservations for the rest of the week will be accepted by phone or from online!

If anything like their first location it will be the best coffee in the Beaverton/Hillsboro area. Original location is on SW SchollsFerry Road. Even better, it’s next door to Big’s Chicken.
