While the Italians perfected pizza, almost every other wheat-eating culture has some quick-cooking pizza adjacent dough with stuff on it. These borrow from the flatbread traditions of Eastern Europe.
Brooklyn native Scottie Rivera has always loved pizza, but it wasn’t until a cross country move to Portland, Oregon that he began to consider it as a serious career option. After years of refining his sourdough process, he now makes some of the city’s most beloved pies and sells out most nights he’s open.
We offer both Scottie’s dough and sauce in the shop, and in the next few weeks we’ll be rolling out our newest collaboration: Scottie’s Vodka Sauce! A personal favorite of Scottie’s, Vodka Sauce is perfect for dishes like chicken parm, penne alla vodka, and, of course, pizza, and we’re super excited about it., and we’re super excited about it.
Be sure to read more about Scottie’s journey from ambivalent tech guy to enthusiastic pizza master on our website, and keep your eyes peeled for our upcoming in-depth look at what makes Scottie’s Vodka Sauce so delicious.
