WHAT
Located in the heart of Oregon’s wine country, McMinnville is an inviting and friendly getaway destination featuring a stroll-worthy tree-lined historic downtown shopping district anchored by boutiques, cool coffeehouses, and kitschy antiquaries punctuated with wine tasting rooms, craft breweries and bars, a selection of award-winning restaurants and close proximity to the world’s best Pinot noir grown and fermented at vineyards just down the road. A short trip from Portland (clocking just a little over an hour’s drive), McMinnville is a fun getaway for both weekends and day-trippers alike.
One of downtown McMinnville’s newest additions is Mac Market, a renovated 10,000-square-foot historic warehouse, now refashioned into multi-use, community-driven, and collaborative place to eat, drink, and gather. Inspired by the area’s vibrant food and beverage community, Mac Market boasts a restaurant, café, bar & bottleshop, market store, and spaces for private and public events.
In the spirit of collaboration, Wellspent Market welcomes a selection of McMinnville’s food and beverage artisans, makers and shakers, including Mac Market [which also houses a tiny version of Wellspent Market], to pop up in the Wellspent Parking Lot on Saturday, July 16th from 2pm – 6pm.
Featured McMinnville vendors will include:
Alumbra (the Spanish word for guiding light) is the Latina owned and run winery where Elena Rodrigues produces estate grown pinot noir and riesling. Located in the Willamette Valley at the base between The Dundee Hills AVA and Eola Amity AVA.
The small, first-generation farm offers high quality, responsibly-grown, and beautiful produce and cut flowers to the Yamhill Valley.
Wholesale coffee roasting company, café & subscription service located in McMinnville that focuses on great coffees, procured honorably and prepared in a way that adds value to people’s lives.
Brewery, taproom and the 2021 Oregon Beer Award winner for Best New Brewery.
The boutique created by Zach and Meg Hixon, Left by West offers a relaxing, personalized space and shopping experience, and showcases items (clothing, art and curated goods) carefully curated with the intention to connect customers to the items they’re buying.
Mac Market’s eponymous table-service restaurant, helmed by Chef Kari Shaughnessy, offers original and unexpected dishes that are deeply inspired by foods of the world but rooted in the seasonal offerings of our local valley farmers. Chef Kari will be serving street food style snacks including Grilled pork belly and squid skewers with tomatoes, fermented pepper and fava, Summer vegetable steam buns with crispy onions and xo sauce and Peanut sesame ice cream sandwiches, miso semifreddo and chocolate ganache.
Located inside of Mac Market, Owner Haley Queen’s shop is filled with eco-home goods and gifts, a bulk refill station for household cleaning supplies and personal care products
and botanicals.
This independent bookstore located in the heart of historic downtown McMinnville specializes in both new and used books. They will be on site selling a selection of cookbooks and food & beverage-related books.
