The Weekend for Oysters & Champagne

Posted June 30, 2017

Perfect Time for Oysters & Champagne

You don’t have to wait for a special occasion to enjoy the “made-in-heaven” combination of oysters & champagne. This Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Bluehour will be shucking fresh Pacific Oysters from Netarts Bay and pairing them with our favorite bubbles: Piper-Heidseick Brut.

SPECIAL THIS WEEKEND:

Six Netarts oysters with one glass of Piper-Heidseick Brut $25.00, or
Twelve Netarts oysters and two glasses of Piper-Heidseick Brut  $45.00

Walk-in and grab a table on the patio or in the cafe, or book a dining room table now:

“Before I was born my mother was in great agony of spirit and in a tragic situation. She could take no food except iced oysters and champagne. If people ask me when I began to dance, I reply, ‘In my mother’s womb, probably as a result of the oysters and champagne – the food of Aphrodite.'”

Isadora Duncan, American dancer (1878-1927)

Take a seat outside on the patio, or enjoy the comfort of the bar, cafe or dining room.
Bluehour will be open on Tuesday, July 4th.

  • Thought I’d try this cake - Tangerine Almond Cake with Bay Citrus from 177MilkStreet.com. Quite nice. Yes, sloppy almond placement. Used the zest from 5 oranges. Syrup of orange and sugar infused with bay leaf over the top. Better than I expected.
  • Chicken karaage at Kizuki Ramen in Beaverton. Was... just fine
  • Jjin Man Doo at Spring Restaurant in Beaverton (dumplings with pork and vegetables)
  • Nice “secret” Korean Restaurant above the grocery store in downtown Beaverton. Been frequenting it quite a bit
