The Passion – Fresh raspberries and lemon juice topped with Ketel One Citroen vodka, Triple Sec, and a touch of simple syrup.
Violet Fizz – Nolets gin, Crème de Violet, and fresh lemon topped with Prosecco.
Bartender Jonah’s bio:
Jonah Kobayashi started his career in wine and spirits at the Benson Hotel’s Palm Court in 2000. He grew a passion for the wine industry after learning from some of the best restaurant managers in town and assisting in developing wine programs at various restaurants. The Palm Court was the perfect place to grow an education in spirits, which led into the art of craft cocktails. After becoming the Lead Bartender, he was responsible for curating the wine and spirit selection as well as writing the cocktail menus. Jonah completed his hotel management training while maintaining his responsibilities in the bar. He has won several cocktail competitions, which led to multiple television appearances, podcasts, and his own segment on “Weddings Portland Style”.
Jonah has expanded his knowledge of fine wine and spirits by attending multiple classes and seminars. He is a certified Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers. He plans on sitting for his advanced certification with the Court, as well as getting his CSW and CSS certifications through the Society of Wine Educators. Jonah spends his personal time as a volunteer sommelier with high profile events such as the International Pinot Noir Celebration, the James Beard Foundation, and the Classic Wines Auction.
