‘Treat Yourself’ at the Grand Opening of NOLA Doughnuts Third Location In Beaverton

May 16, 2022

Big Easy-inspired bakery to revisit Beaverton Farmers Market roots, opening first brick and mortar in Washington County with new menu

PORTLAND, Ore. (May 13, 2022) – NOLA Doughnuts, the New Orleans-inspired bakery with locations in Lake Oswego and the Pearl District, has announced the addition of a third shop in Beaverton. Opening on Sunday, May 22, the new location will offer NOLA’s famed classic brioche doughnuts, la’ssants, beignets and spice buns, as well as new breakfast, brunch and midday menus, including frittatas, bananas foster waffles, bread pudding French toast, hand pies, brioche, flatbreads and breadsticks. The Beaverton store will also introduce a beverage program, which features traditional café au lait, beer, wine and cider.

“Having started at the Beaverton Farmers Market in 2015, NOLA’s new location in many ways represents us revisiting our roots,” said NOLA co-founder Connie DeMerell. “Our bakery is deeply rooted in food, family and community and we’re hoping this new location will serve as a place for people to continue to come together to fill their bellies with delicious pastries that feed their souls with love.”

NOLA’s Beaverton location features indoor, café-style seating with counter service. The kitchen is home to a Pratica COPA Express oven, where NOLA will prepare its housemade menu items. NOLA will also embrace its Beaverton Town Square community by offering outdoor seating in the neighboring breezeway.

As part of its new beverage offerings, NOLA will also uniquely highlight purveyors from around the Portland-metro area through a beverage-of-the-month promotion, which features VinH20 dry wine sprintz from the opening through the end of June. NOLA will also continue its longstanding partnerships with local staples, including Mee Mee’s Goodies, Danielle’s Sauces, Steven Smith Teamaker, Alpenrose Dairy and Urban Grind Coffeehouse & Roasters.

The Beaverton shop, located at 11703 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Highway, will be open from Thursday through Sunday, 7 a.m. through 3 p.m. For high-res images of NOLA Doughnuts, please see: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/dth0unm07bd5vneeqndut/h?dl=0&rlkey=9uvemfzw7mjfkvdb4jni1togh.

About NOLA Doughnuts

Founded in 2015, NOLA Doughnuts was created by two Louisiana natives who brought a piece of The Big Easy to the City of Roses. The brainchild of siblings Robert Herkes and Connie DeMerell, along with the help of friend Frank Halpin, NOLA Doughnuts features fresh, made-to-order beignets alongside traditional chicory café au lait, croissant-style doughnuts called La’ssants (The LA (Louisiana) SSANT (Croissant), and classic brioche doughnuts and now wine, beer, bubbles and bites at the Beaverton location. The company currently has two locations in Portland’s Pearl District and Lake Oswego with a third soon-to-be-opened in Beaverton. For more information, visit www.noladoughnuts.com.
