Tournant Open Fire Cooking Classes

May 2, 2021

A Return to the Light

Hello Friends and Family,

So much has happened since last we wrote. There have been endings, beginnings, evolutions and transformations, all of which have brought us to a new chapter that we can’t wait to write with you. More announcements soon, but first…

Happy Beltane! This ancient Gaelic festival held on May 1st is a celebration of casting off the darkness and celebrating the light, which feels so symbolic of this time in our lives and culture right now. The word Beltane translates to “bright fire” and is always celebrated with a ritual lighting of a sacred bonfire, which is why it feels so right to announce two open fire cooking classes today!

Let’s gather around the fire together to burn away what’s no longer needed, reconnect with our community, and revel in the rebirth to come.

Cheers,
Mona + Jaret

TOURNANT LIVE FIRE COOKING CLASSES

We’ve waited so long for this! Let’s come together at last for a day spent around the fire learning, sharing and feasting.

We are just thrilled to announce two socially distant fire cookery classes in June, held at some our favorite places in the PNW. Both classes will highlight open fire cooking techniques such as ash-roasting, cedar-planking and Dutch oven cooking.

A feast will be prepared along with marvelous pantry staples from our friends at Wellspent Market (pssst—word has it that a cameo from Founder Jim Dixon is expected at one of these classes!) and enjoyed together in a safe and socially distant manner.

June 12 – Iron, Fire and Brine cooking class held at Hama Hama Oyster Farm on the glorious Hood Canal in Washington. Pescatarian Menu

June 19 – Farm to Fire cooking class held at Star Mooring Farm, a third generation hazelnut farm located in the heart of Oregon wine country. Omnivore Menu

Click below to reserve your spot!

PLEASE NOTE: Spaces are limited and will be offered on a first come, first served basis.
