The VirtuWedge – Order Tasting Kits by Sept. 23!

September 17, 2020

Since we can’t come together in person, we wanted to find a way to support our local cheesemakers and share our love of cheese with all of you. Introducing VirtuWedge, the 2020 re-imagination of The Wedge!
Your tasting kit to the VirtuWedge comes in a reusable insulated tote and includes 10 artisan cheeses from Oregon makers, Kelly’s Jelly, Anthem Cider, and Whole Foods crackers and chocolate to enjoy wherever you please! You will receive a link via email to join our online event to hear more about the cheeses and makers, get tips for creating the perfect plate and storing cheese, and participate in a live raffle.

Where & When
The online event will take place Saturday, October 3 at 5pm and will be recorded so you can watch any time. Tasting kits will be available for contactless pick-up October 1 and 2 at a location in Portland’s Central Eastside. Instructions will be emailed. Bike delivery within Portland is also available for an additional charge. Safe handling and delivery protocols will be strictly followed.
Tickets
Tasting kits are $70 and come with more than four pounds of artisan Oregon cheese, plenty for a group to enjoy at once, or one person to savor over several weeks. The packed totes have a retail value of more than $110 and include a few exclusives that can only be found in VirtuWedge tasting kits!

The Guild is a collaborative effort to increase awareness of Oregon’s artisan cheeses, create educational opportunities, and provide a platform for cooperation and shared resources among Oregon cheesemakers.

It’s all about the structure, but this year I am obsessing over Oyatsupan milk bread. It’s a terrific choice. I have four BLT’s every August and that keeps me going through the winter months, knowing that BLT season will arrive again.
