Exciting news about an upcoming event at Urdaneta next month! Chef/Owner Javier Canteras was recently contacted by Marcela Garces, the scriptwriter for a documentary called “The Txoko Experience: The Secret Culinary Space of the Basques.” This film premiered last year in San Sebastian at one of the biggest culinary events and they are now taking it around the world and screening the film at Urdaneta during a special edition of Canteras’ famed Basque Supper Club.
The Txoko Experience Basque Supper Club will take place on Sunday, April 8th at 6:00pm. Tickets are $120 and can be purchased here. A Q&A will be held with Marcela Garces, Scriptwriter of The Txoko Experience following the film and then a Txoko-inspired 6 course dinner will be served, with Urdaneta’s Chef Javier Canteras and beverage pairings by Wine Director, Jon Joseph Lawrence. Chef Javier pulls from his own childhood experiences of visiting his grandfather’s txoko and promises to deliver a most memorable evening of Basque spirit, food, and wine.
