As a source for food in our community, like a grocery store, Portland Farmers Market will be OPEN this Saturday, March 14th, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., on the campus of Portland State University.
We are committed to doing everything possible to keep the PSU Farmers Market a safe and healthy place for our shoppers, vendors, staff and volunteers while providing fresh and nutritious food to the public.
Our team is working to assure health safety for shoppers, vendors and staff. We are following best practices from local health officials, to ensure that our market offers nutritious food in a safe environment.
To increase cleanliness, we will:
Set up hand-washing stations throughout the market.
Install reminders encouraging shoppers to keep a safe 3-foot distance from other shoppers.
Sanitize frequently all high-touch surfaces including sales equipment, ATM machines, dining area tables, etc.
Our vendors will:
Remove cut food samples from public spaces, offer samples on request.
Pre-package produce, offer closed containers and single-use containers.
Reconfigure stall spaces to assure that shoppers have plenty of space to select and purchase products.
Use care when handling credit cards and allow shoppers to avoid touching mobile sales screen.
Post signage that encourages limited handling of produce and products by shoppers.
Staying well includes eating a healthy diet and getting exercise – you can do both of these at Portland Farmers Market.
Come get your groceries, enjoy the fresh air, and support your local growers.
