The latest from the Independent Restaurant Coalition
The Senate has gone home while we’re going out of business. This week, they’re leaving D.C. until after the election even though no additional stimulus has been passed. Our businesses, jobs, and communities continue to struggle because of their inaction. Here’s where they’ve left us:
Our fight is far from over. And we need your help to keep the momentum going. Please email, tweet at, call, and educate your reps in the coming weeks (resources here), and make sure to tell them how we’re suffering but also how much support we’ve already generated:
Our industry is no stranger to hard work. We meet each challenge with creativity and tenacity. And it’s that grit that allowed us to come together during unprecedented circumstances to pass a bill in the House. But our work is not yet done – we must keep up this hard work, and continue to make our voices heard louder than ever before so that the Senate follows suit and passes restaurant relief as soon as possible.
Together, we’ll see this through. Stay tuned for a post-election update on where we stand and how you can continue to advocate to help save restaurants.
