Roc des Anges 4 Pack
A Ksandek’s “Desert Island” top 10 Producer

I love making lists.

I also love the question, “if you were stranded on a desert island, what ten ___(insert category here)___ would you bring?”

Records, movies, foods, and wine. Some lists are easier to fill than others. When it comes to wine producers, I still have room in my top ten to add a few, but i can say without a doubt that Domaine le Roc des Anges makes the cut. I would rather not imagine a world in which I can not continue to enjoy their splendid, and varied, wines.

A wife and husband team of Marjorie and Stéphane Gallet, Domaine Le Roc des Anges was established in the sorely undervalued Côtes Catalanes region of SW France in 1991. They produce wines of energy and finesse, in classic, and not so classic styles. This set showcases a few facets of their production and is a great introduction to a thrilling producer I am pleased to share.

-Ksandek

Included in this pack:

  • Chamane 2020: 100% Muscat Petit Grains. Dry, stunningly pretty, fun, and super delicious aromatic white wine.
  • L’Oca 2019: 100% Old Vine Macabeu: Texture and intensity from old vine Macabeau planted in a vein of red clay.
  • Segna de Cor 2019: A joyful red wine that behaves like really good Côtes du Rhone. Tremendous value.
  • ‘1903’ Carignan 2018: Old Vine Carignan Noir: A powerful and elegant red wine, with just the right touch of rusticity
