Thanksgiving Wines, a Dark Lager and More!

November 22, 2021

The Weekly What’s Up for 11.18.21!

Thanksgiving is upon us and this weekend is the weekend to prepare. Whether you are making the traditional turkey and fixings or you are taking it in a different direction, we’ve got you covered. Check out our 4 pack special below that will take you from start to finish, or stop by and tell us your menu and we can customize a wine selection for you. Thinking you may veer towards having more of a beer day for Thanksgiving? We’ve got that too. Check out the Ruse below, and if that doesn’t catch your attention we’ve got hundreds more to choose from. Something for every palate. Come by and we will point you in the right direction.

No Cook Weekend

We have all got a busy week of cooking way too much food ahead of us. Let us take the reins this weekend and enjoy some homemade soups and sandwiches. Easy on you and your kitchen. This weekend Kevin is rockin’ a vegetarian roasted tomato soup with basil oil and a hearty white bean and sausage soup. You really can’t go wrong with either one. He’s also brought back his homemade meatloaf sandwich. Check it out, it is a sticks-to-the-ribs kinda sandwich. Sometimes it is just worth taking the easy way. Cheers!

Annual Thanksgiving 4 Pack is Ready!

Every year we put together a special wine 4 pack that will take you from start to finish with your Thanksgiving dinner. This year starts with a really fun sparkling wine from the Jura region. Bourdy is one of our favorite producers in the region and this wine is stunning. We then transition into a superb Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley before bringing it back home. Crowley is one the best Pinot Noir producers we have in Oregon and the Entre Nous is a work of art. This will take your meal to the next level. So good. Then there is a beautiful bottle of 10-year-old tawny port from Kopke. The oldest producer of port in Portugal, Kopke makes the best and this bottle will show you why you should be having port more often. A great finish.

Check out more information on our blog. We have picked out a great lineup for you. And, you save 15%!! Enjoy your time with your loved ones. Cheers!

Offset Dark Lager

Ruse and Grasslands Barbecue have collaborated on this delicious dark lager and this is a great beer to have with your Thanksgiving dinner. Lagers, in general, are great food pairing beers. When you add Ruses’ incredible ability to brew such well balanced beers, you can’t loss. I can tell you that with all the butter and gravy I will be having, this lager is sure to cut right through that richness. It also has wonderful balance of malt and hops that play off of each other instead of trying to dominate. A truly collaborative brew.
