Tell the White House restaurant relief is a top priority

February 17, 2022

Friend,

More than two dozen mayors, hundreds of bipartisan members of Congress, and thousands of people are calling for the Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) to be replenished. Why? Because they know that independent restaurants are the center of communities everywhere: supporting thousands of jobs, powering supply chains, and contributing to strong economies.

But the Biden administration hasn’t expressed support for refilling the RRF.

That’s why we’re asking you to join our open letter urging the White House to make restaurant relief a top priority.

The restaurant crisis is far from over. Just this week, new data from the Department of Labor found a 12.8% increase in food prices over the last year. Restaurants cannot operate with these high costs, and the RRF would help businesses navigate these prices. If the White House and Congress ignore the nearly 200,000 businesses who asked for help, thousands of restaurants and bars will close permanently and their employees will be out of a job, devastating our economy.

We hope you’ll click the link above, sign the letter, and join us in the fight to save restaurants. Your voices created this fund and, together, our voices will get it replenished.

In solidarity,

The IRC Team
