After much deliberation, we have decided to close our doors temporarily. In light of the drastic rise in numbers locally, concurrent with the spike in coronavirus cases nationally and globally, we are faced with the hard reality that wide community spread is present among us, and it has always been our hope not to contribute to transmission. We’re grateful the staff has remained healthy (and we know of no transmission among our guests) throughout this period, and we remain confident in the safety measures we implemented. That said, while closures have not yet been mandated by the state (and although the governor’s ‘pause’, announced this past Friday, fell short of specifically discouraging indoor service), the sharp increase in incident case count leaves little room for interpretation.
Please be assured this is temporary, we will return to service as quickly as possible. Although we do not have a specific metric in place, we will follow the direction of local authorities and a marked drop in infection rates, updating via newsletter and social media as we have a clearer picture.
It’s been such a joy seeing so many of you in the last couple months, we have been profoundly grateful for the love and support through a challenging time. We knew, heading into reopening, that we would likely face a series of stops and starts, depending on the state of the pandemic in our county. We hope this hiatus will be brief.
Please stay tuned, stay healthy, and head to The Commissary for ingredients to make at home in our absence.
