We have decided to close the shop for the second weekend in a row. Between family emergencies, threat of snowzilla and a possible Covid exposure we have realized that it is in our best interest to take a minute and regroup. 2021 is already exhausting. I assure you we are all healthy and safe, and are grateful for this.
We are following the CDC guidelines for an exposure, despite it not being a close contact, we want to take the safest and recommended route. We have been isolating ourselves and will continue to for the duration of ten days and will only return to work with a negative test and zero symptoms. As well, we will be continually assessing the situation to provide the safest work and retail environment.
So much of this feels like an enormous burden for us all, but in these times we all need to be open, understanding and forgiving for unexpected situations in the name of safety. These are confusing, stressful and sad times we are collectively experiencing. My household and staff have been careful, cautious and considerate through these last 9 months and it goes to show us that any level of risk is just that, risky. We are not deterred to carry on. We just need a minute.
We are so thankful and appreciate all the kind words, support and understanding we have received. We are sorry for any inconvenience. Much love, Mark
