Taste the Best of Summer at Portland Farmers Market!

August 25, 2020

August 25, 2020 Market Update

Melon Season is Here!

Hello friends,

It may seem impossible, but the calendar doesn’t lie: September is almost here. That means that along with peaches, corn, peppers, tomatoes and a lot more delicious farm-fresh produce, it’s melon season! There’s nothing like sweet ripe melon on a warm summer day. Try it sprinkled with feta cheese or paired with an heirloom tomato. Get them at their best, at any of our five markets this week!

WHAT’S IN SEASON NOW

Experience Orange & Blossom

Of course, our markets bring you more than just fresh produce. One of our new vendors at the Kenton Farmers Market is Marisa Kroes, owner of Orange & Blossom. She makes tasty (and beautiful) restaurant-quality desserts with farmers market ingredients. Get to know Marisa in our interview and profile, then visit her at Kenton and take home some of her creations for yourself:

If you can’t make it to market this week, but don’t want to miss all the tastes and colors of summer from our vendors, Masa is here to help. Order with them by 11:59pm each Wednesday for either Saturday pickup outside of PSU Farmers Market or delivery right to your door.
