I hope you are staying happy and healthy and taking in some of this beautiful summer. We wanted to give an update on our pending dine-in reopening. Due to the delays in entering phase 2 and current limitations on indoor gatherings, we have decided to delay our reservation release until it becomes more clear that we are moving towards phase 2. With an immunocompromised child at home, we have taken the reopening very seriously and are making every effort to be sure that the new environment we offer inside Nodoguro is safe and comfortable for our guests and staff. Meanwhile, we are creating a series of fun takeaway options for pickup in the evenings. So far we have developed a fancy chirashi with a beautiful assortment of fish from Toyosu and the luxurious Nodoguro Hand roll kit was a hit in our testing. It is a kit with everything you need to create our Hardcore omakase hand rolls at home or in the park! We hope to have the Sousaku bento coming soon! Takeout options will be available here https://www.nodoguropdx.com/store/c3/Nodoguro_Chirashi_and_takeaway.html
New items will post every Wednesday, but we do currently have chirashi and Hand roll kits available!
We have also been hard at work with Tonari and have begun to add specials to the menu. This weekend we have Spanish octopus sunomono and curry Crab/ ikuradon!!
Our new pantry will launch on Monday at https://www.tonaripdx.com/This a list of lovingly curated items by Elena. Her Tonari blend Eleusis organic hand sanitizer will be available, but the list will also feature items from the Nodoguro dinner service, such as, our koikuchi soy sauce and Ponzu sauce, Japanese Oshibori towels, Kinto coffee gear, Serax ceramics, and our special Tonari Ariake seaweed.
Tonari is open from 12-6:30 Thursday-Sunday. We are now taking walk-in orders and have added couches outside if you would like to enjoy your takeaway right away! For online orders, visit: https://tonari-104089.square.site/
