Whether you’ve discovered the joy of caramel or you’re a reluctant sweet eater, Sweet, Salty & Paley will delight your taste. Up and coming Sweet & Salty’s Caramel Co. and the award winning Chef Vitaly Paley are pairing up for an exclusive dining event Friday June 21st at the Imperial Restaurant. This is a perfect date.
The Imperial Restaurant and Caramelier Rebecca Moore are putting together a savory five-course meal and caramel pairing, complete with wine, to demonstrate the versatility of caramel and highlight the unique savory flavors of Sweet & Salty’s caramels.
Only 49 seats are available at this exclusive event. Ticket sales open today in celebration of National Caramel Day. If you’ve never experienced a Paley’s meal, this is your chance!
Paley’s approach at Imperial is to work with American Heritage food of the Pacific Northwest. Sweet & Salty’s approach to caramel is to make the world sweet while embracing its saltiness. Sweet & Satlty’s is focused on the incorporation of savory flavors and seasonal regional bounty. In common, the two have a boundless generosity and passion for creativity in the kitchen.
Vitaly Paley is celebrating his 50th birthday, 25 years of marriage and three successful Portland restaurants. Rebecca Moore, just coming into her own, launched Sweet & Salty’s just a year ago, won a food innovation award and just finished a successful Kickstarter campaign to grow the business. Grandmothers play a role in both stories.
