Supporting Change

June 10, 2020

Steve and the Cheese Bar crew have always had strong opinions about things happening in our country and our community. Generally, we have chosen to keep Cheese Bar a politically-neutral territory where people can escape day-to-day worries through the world of delicious flavors from small producers. These days, it seems more and more necessary for businesses to find ways to stand up for injustices and marginalized members of our community. We have been spending a lot of time thinking about what we can do to be more inclusive and to support social justice. It’s something we’ll continue to think about and work towards. What can a place like Cheese Bar do right now? We will work hard to carry more products from people of color. We’d love to hear from you on products we might carry. We are also looking at new ways to support organizations doing good work. We are working on a fundraising event and thinking about other things we can do. We commit to doing our part to support growth and healing in our community.
