Support Small Biz Affected by Corona Closures

March 17, 2020

We need your help now more than ever.

Due to the Corona virus and people social distancing (a very good thing that we support whole heartedly), our local cideries are really hurting, alongside so many small businesses. Not only are cidermakers losing their customers at their tasting rooms, but they’ve also lost most other channels of sales, via bars, restaurants, etc.  Employee layoffs are happening, taprooms are closed, and the bottom line is our businesses may not make it through this. If you can help at all, we’d be incredibly grateful.
Local businesses (including cideries) need you now more than ever.
Here are some ways to help:

  • Shop online.  Our association map has a filter where you can see which cideries sell online! (click “Buy Online” at the top right).
  • Purchase Gift Cards or Gift Certificates — for dining, shopping, or an activity to enjoy down the road. Think about birthdays, anniversaries or upcoming special occasions.
  • Order take-out or delivery — let the local restaurants cook for you! Multiple delivery services can deliver to your home, and many restaurants have their own delivery services (remember to tip your delivery driver generously). Many restaurants will fill your growlers!
  • Follow local businesses, artists, producers, gallery owners and restaurateurs — they’ll appreciate the social media traction.
  • Drop a DM or note to your favorite businesses — it’ll go a long way!

Thank you for any and all help you can offer. Please stay healthy out there.
