Summer Comes Early with Wild Roots Cucumber & Grapefruit Infused Gin

May 30, 2019

Wild Roots Celebrates World Gin Day with the Launch of its First Infused Gin

Portland, Ore. (May 30, 2019)—Just ahead of the official start of summer, Wild Roots is launching Cucumber & Grapefruit Infused Gin, its first infused gin. As bright and refreshing as summer drinks should be, Cucumber & Grapefruit Infused Gin is cucumber-forward with a citrus backbone and finish.

“This gin is excellent on its own or with a bit of ice, but it’s also our favorite gin for summer gin and tonics,” says Chris Joseph, President of Wild Roots Spirits. “The cucumber provides a crisp sip while the grapefruit adds a fun twist to the classic lime element of the G&T.”

Officially launching in Oregon on June 8, World Gin Day, Wild Roots is celebrating Cucumber & Grapefruit Infused Gin’s arrival with Gin Five Ways—a flight of craft cocktails made with Cucumber & Grapefruit Infused Gin and London Dry Gin—available at the new Wild Roots Tasting Room (77 NE Grand Ave.) starting on June 8. Learn more here.

Cucumber & Grapefruit Infused Gin is available in the Wild Roots Tasting Room and will soon be available in Oregon liquor stores in 750ml bottles.

About Wild Roots Spirits
Wild Roots Spirits was launched in 2013 by Chris Joseph in Oregon. Wild Roots produces a line of all-natural (non-GMO and gluten-free) spirits that strive to embody the true essence of the Pacific Northwest. The company currently offers eight fruit-infused vodkas (Raspberry, Marionberry, Apple & Cinnamon, Pear, Dark Sweet Cherry, Cranberry, Huckleberry and Peach), two non-infused base spirits (Vodka and Gin) and a Cucumber & Grapefruit infused Gin. As a Pacific Northwest native, Chris knew there were few places in the world that produced fruit as flavorful and abundant as Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Wild Roots pays tribute to and celebrates this region and its rich soil, pure water and exceptional climate by delivering an authentic, all-natural and delicious product. Each bottle of Wild Roots Vodka starts with a 6-times filtered corn-based vodka and over a pound of all-natural fruit, including hyperlocal fruits such as the Marionberry and Huckleberry. It is filtered through local minerals and lava rock from central Oregon and the water used in the base comes from the Metolius River (also in central Oregon).
