After springing forward and losing some sleep, we’re looking forward to a new season, new restaurant, and new dishes at Lovely Rita.
SEE YOU AT LOVELY RITA
Lovely Rita is participating in Portland Dining Month throughout March with a three–course dinner for only $33. So if you’ve been wanting to try Chef Cameron Addy’s short rib pappardelle, now’s the time. And their lunch and dinner just got even better … bringing favorites like turkey clubs and French onion soup to the all–day menu, plus new dinner dishes like country ham toast and charred beets. Did we mention they have a great everyday happy hour, weekend brunch, and valet parking? Okay, you get it. Snag a lounge chair on the main floor or book a table reservation here.
OREGON FOOD BANK
Throughout all of March, we’re proud to partner with Oregon Food Bank for our monthly Generous Pour cocktail program, where each of our restaurants creates a special cocktail for a special cause. We’ll donate $1 from every drink that gets made, including this “Scout’s Honor” at Tusk (tequila, aperol, cocchi americano, lemon, salted grapefruit). Want to lend a hand at Oregon Food Bank and join the fight to eliminate hunger? Sign up to volunteer here.
TAKIBI
If you didn’t see the news in Portland Monthly, we’re excited to announce our latest project coming to Portland this summer: Takibi. We’ve teamed up with Japanese outdoor lifestyle brand, Snow Peak, to launch a new restaurant concept at their expanded flagship store on NW 23rd. With Alex Kim (Executive Chef) and Jim Meehan (Bar Director/Partner) on board, Takibi will serve Japanese–inspired cuisine by way of the Pacific Northwest.
NATIONALE IS OPEN
We miss having Nationale across the street from Ava Gene’s. But their new space is better than ever (and just down the street from Tusk). If you’re looking for inspiration, art, or a good book, make sure to swing by and say hello.
BEET CREAM CHEESE
Bring Ava Gene’s brunch into your own kitchen with a Beet Cream Cheese recipe courtesy of our friends at Stumptown Coffee. They sat down with Chef Joshua McFadden for their “Food with Friends” blog series, where he shared the recipe for Ava Gene’s popular English muffin spread. Click here to make it at home.
