Staying positive in these difficult times…

March 19, 2020

Dear friends of Division,

When looking for a photo for this note, we ran across a few from last harvest – they made us smile, and it felt good.

We picked the one above to share with you –  our team had just finished the first Chenin pick (harvest was just ramping up) and were enjoying a snack and glass of wine in the vineyard before heading back from Yakima all the way to Portland. With the new vintage just starting, there was so much joy, hope and excitement in the air – human feelings that seem so far away from what we are experiencing now, but that we need to remember and hold on to.

These are trying times. In Oregon, as in all of the United States (and world,) we have seen many of our friends, family, and colleagues lose their livelihoods seemingly overnight. Not only that, but the right thing to do means that coming together with loved ones to console and support is irresponsible, making these hard times even harder.

It’s easy to feel powerless in the face of such adversity, but there are still ways to help uplift each other — check in with friends and family near and far, support local/small businesses, and donate time, skills, or resources to those who find themselves most vulnerable.

As our world slows to deter the spread of contagion, we pause to appreciate what we still have — a world in bloom (Spring is in full force in Portland!) the strength of community, and captivating wines from far and near.

A virtual CHEERS sending well wishes for you and your loved ones,

Tom, Kate, Drew, Chris, and Cass

Do you need wine or would like to support us? Until the end of April, we are trying to spread some liquid cheer and are offering complimentary ground shipping on all orders of three bottles or more from our online store. Simply use the code “FREESHIP” when checking out, and it will waive your shipping costs.

If you live in Portland (within a 10 mile radius of the winery), we are offering complimentary delivery of 2+ bottles by a member of our winery staff (same day delivery if ordered before 1 p.m.). Use the same code “FREESHIP” when checking out.

Club Members will receive their normal discounts in addition to free shipping on ALL orders, including upcoming club shipments.
