February marks Stacked Sandwich Shop’s first year anniversary, and Chef/Owner Gabriel Pascuzzi is teaming up with friend and acclaimed chef Doug Adams—Woodsman Tavern and upcoming Bullard Restaurant—to celebrate. For one night only, Pascuzzi and Adams will take over Stacked’s open kitchen to create a special 10+ item menu that celebrates this exciting benchmark for the young restaurant. Drawing inspiration from Portland’s winter farmer’s markets and other local purveyors, the menu will be offered a la carte from 6PM until they run out that evening.
Since opening in February 2017, Stacked has been recognized for its innovative sandwiches with positive reviews from recognized Portland news outlets like The Oregonian, Portland Monthly Magazine, Willamette Week and the Portland Mercury. Chef Pascuzzi ended last year on a high note when he was named “Portland Chef of the Year” by the popular restaurant news site Eater, which touted how his technique-driven approach and creativity is upping the sandwich game in an already acclaimed sandwich city.
Stacked’s 1 Year Anniversary Mash-Up will take place Tuesday, February 20th starting at 6PM, no reservations needed. The menu will feature starters like Duck Egg Toad in a Hole with cream sherry, jus, mushrooms, shallots, black spring truffles and Cold Smoked Elk Tartare with candied horseradish, egg yolk caramel, shiitake bacon and herb lavash cracker alongside shareable mains like a Lamb T-bone Chop with smoked piperade and clams and a ½ roasted cauliflower with anchovy table sauce, black olive-chili and preserved meyer lemon condiment, chili boiled peanuts and herbs.
