Social Distancing and Dining Out

March 15, 2020

Saturday 14 March 2010

Dear loyal customers and friends,

Bluehour, Clarklewis, 23Hoyt, and Saucebox restaurants have been diligently following CDC guidelines since before the first Coronavirus case was reported in Oregon. We are proud to have an excellent record with the Multnomah County Health Department, and we take pride in keeping our establishments operating at the highest level of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety on a regular basis.

In addition to our normal cleaning and sanitation schedule, our staff is fully focused on the continuous sanitizing of our common areas and high contact surfaces, in order to kill germs and reduce the risk of the virus spreading. This effort includes sanitizing all high touch surfaces every half hour or immediately after use.

Our employees at Bruce Carey Restaurants are our heart and backbone of our business. We will continue to monitor our employee’s personal hygiene and health, requiring them to stay home if they show any signs of illness.

Additionally, we are in the process of reducing the number of tables in the dining rooms by about 20% to provide a safer “social distancing”, spatial separation of at least four feet.

We are committed to providing a safe, clean and quality environment every day and you can be confident that your health and safety is our top priority.

Thank you for supporting your locally-owned, small businesses during this worrisome time.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Sincerely,

Bruce Carey
