SipScience Raises Awareness in Support of Bartenders Affected by COVID-19

April 7, 2020

CHICAGO, IL — SipScience a national data analytics hospitality company for consumers, bars, and restaurants announced today that it will continue its initiative of exhausting all options to support hospitality workers —and raise awareness about the need for immediate assistance from skilled volunteers to support the increased volume of applications and inquiries from the USBG National Charity Foundation’s Bartender Emergency Assistance Program (BEAP).

With over 700,000 bartenders in the U.S. out of work, skilled volunteers are needed now more than ever to join the 300+ volunteers dedicated to BEAP. Qualified volunteers will be trained to vet thousands of incoming applications on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis and facilitate their inquiries to enlist emergency funds.

To apply to become a volunteer, please click here.

Furthermore, SipScience will continue it’s $100,000 Go Fund Me fundraising campaign titled ‘Hospitality Industry Associates Fund’ in support of individuals in the bar industry community who are affected by COVID-19. All proceeds will go directly to support the USBG Foundation’s mission is to empower bartenders and further their careers, providing services from peer-to-peer learning to the Bartender Emergency Assistance Program (BEAP).

SipScience’s Co-CEO, Kris Boros said, “From fundraising to storytelling to PSA’s we are all hands on deck in support of the hardworking men and women who work as servers, bartenders, cooks, bussers, valet, and more. It is times like these that the sentiment ‘it truly takes a village’ becomes a clear call to action that we must be there to support one another in every way possible.”

Our goal is to assist as many qualified industry members as possible each and every year. We are striving to ensure that the BEAP is sustained as a safety net for those in the industry who need it most. Our hope is that you will support us to “help us serve those who serve us.”
