Life is about second chances … for dinner
“One thing drives out another,” so says the Innkeeper Butterbur in Lord of the Rings. So I’m just sending this brief reminder that tickets are on sale for our Supper Club dinner at Husum Riverside B&B for our June dinners. You may have become besotted by the sudden appearance of summer-like weather, and a holiday weekend, and missed the chance to sign up for my cooking.
You can choose Friday, June 16 or Saturday June 17 to dine. By the way, the Innkeeper Butterbur, one of my favorite Rings characters also said, “I only know my own name because people shout it at me all day long.” Ah, a sweet Nora’s Table memory.
The dinner is $45 a person, four courses. And the menu? All will be revealed as you sit in your seat and pick up the menu. I can promise you pristine late-spring delights: peas, strawberries, Klickitat River spring chinook salmon. No, not all in the same dish.
You will also have options for a wine pairing, and wine by the glass or bottle from Memaloose Winery. And the delightful Trevor Hertrich from the winery will be on hand to pour and answer questions about these lovely wines from one of my favorite wineries in the Gorge.
OK … ready … click here to visit the Husum Riverside web site and and buy tickets. PLEASE NOTE: there are tickets available for upcoming dinners, too, so choose dates wisely, grasshopper. And yes, of course you can indeed buy tickets for the rest of the summer and fall dinners while you are at it. Have any food allergies, or are gluten free, dairy free or vegetarian? Just let us know when you provide information for your tickets.
How to Achieve Marital Bliss While Camping
Stu and I just spent five amazing days in Grant County Oregon, snuggled next to the John Day River, the snow-capped Strawberry Mountains in the distance. Want to know what I cooked? You can read about it at my blog by clicking here: Kathy is Hungry
