Taste Up to 20 Varietals of Oregon Wines from 10 Producers
PORTLAND, Ore. (March 9, 2015) – Tasting through the breadth of Oregon wines has never been easier than with SE Wine Collective’s Wine Club. In any given year the Collective’s 10 urban winemakers produce about 20 varietals ranging from Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc to lesser-known varietals such as Gamay Noir, Mourvedre, Chenin Blanc, Muscat, and Arneis.
Each year Collective Club members receive two shipments of an ever-changing list of these high quality wines, many of which are not otherwise available outside of Oregon. Due to limited production, many of the wines are only available to club members, a great benefit for those looking for rare bottles. Membership also includes exclusive benefits and discounts on the Collective’s entire wine list, which features more than 60 wines at any given time including imported and local wines. The Collective Club membership makes for a fantastic opportunity for wine enthusiasts and novices nationwide looking for a unique Oregon wine experience.
Two types of memberships are available; the Collective Introduction, which offers three wines made by three different Collective producers twice a year while the Collective Continuation offers six wines, three of which will be small production wines made at the Collective in addition to the Introduction set, twice a year. As an extra perk, Collective Club members are able to add a special selection of varietal packs on to their spring and fall shipments. Each add on pack includes three limited release wines. Available add on packs for the spring include two different Rosé packs, Chenin Blanc and Gamay Noir.
No fee to join, just a $40 deposit for first-time members that is applied as credit on the second shipment. All members are asked to make a minimum one-year commitment to the club. Each set is shipped through Fed Ex or can be picked up at the Collective.
Additional benefits include complimentary quarterly tastings for up to four people every quarter per membership and Happy Hour pricing ($2 off glass pours, Flights, and $1 off food items) EVERY HOUR of EVERYDAY for the duration of your membership. For more information visit www.sewinecollective.com

About SE Wine Collective
Kate and Thomas Monroe, of Division Winemaking Company, founded the Southeast Wine Collective in 2012 in response to their personal interest in creating a unique multi-faceted urban winery, coupled with increasing public interest in the urban wine movement. The urban winery and wine bar brings together like-minded wineries who are sustainably growing their businesses and offers a venue for commercial custom crush wine production, tastings and events in an area of SE Portland that already hosts a thriving restaurant and nightlife scene. Currently the collective is made up of ten wineries: Division Winemaking Company, Fullerton Wines, Helioterra Wines, Jackalope Wine Cellars, James Rahn Wine Co, Jasper Sisco, Ore Winery, Vincent Wine Company, Willful Wines and 5Q, while continuing to work as an incubator for future wine brands and budding industry ideas. Currently 20 varietals are produced at the Collective ranging from Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc to lesser-known varietals such as Gamay Noir, Mourvedre, Chenin Blanc, Muscat, and Arneis. The wine bar features pours and flights from all 10 Collective members and their inspirational wines along with draft beer and a diverse food menu by in-house chef Althea Grey Potter. Recently the Collective was listed among the 10 Best Urban Wineries in USA Today and Best Wine Bars in The Oregonian. It has also been featured in FOOD & WINE magazine’s A Winemakers’ Beaujolais Nouveau Party, the New York Times article “Bringing the Wine to Portland, Ore.”, Wine Spectator’s “The New Portland,” Portland Monthly’s article “Meet Portland’s Top Urban Winemakers,” and Portland Monthly’s Best Restaurants 2014 7 Days In Portland piece.
