Salt & Straw Celebrates LGBTQ Pride with Ice Cream, Stories, and Drag Queens!

June 2, 2021

How does a drag queen describe what Monster Blood tastes like?

Salt & Straw is proud to welcome queens from the non-profit Drag Queen Story Hour for Instagram Live story hours and ice cream tastings on @SaltandStraw throughout the month of June.

Salt & Straw team member Ian Kane will welcome each of the queens to the Salty audience, participate in movement breaks, cheer on the queen during her lip sync, listen along during the book readings, and host a tasting of Salt & Straw’s Rad Reader book-inspired flavors for the queen. During the Instagram Live, Salt & Straw will also raise funds for Drag Queen Story Hour so the organization can continue to grow its network and provide readings to kids, teens, and families across the globe. It’s a fun, family-friendly, and socially distanced way to celebrate LGBTQ pride throughout June!
