Weekly Tuesday pop up at Rue features family style whole roasted pig feast with fixin’s for $28, plus large format bubbles and wines from new Wine Director Andy Young
PORTLAND, Ore. (November 9, 2017) – Beginning Tuesday, November 14th, Rue will launch “Pop de Cochon”, a one of a kind family style feast for $28. Known for its vegetable forward, seasonally shifting menus developed by chef and owner Jason Roberts with executive chef Brandon Cunningham, Rue’s “Pop de Cochon” will be offered every Tuesday night. This casual family style celebration will feature a whole roasted Suckling Pig feast with sides like chicory salad, pickles, raclette fondue cheese, house baked Parker House rolls, and champagne mustard and seasonal aioli for topping. Platters of food will be served family style right to your table, all for $28. Rue will be offering 50% off for anyone wearing a full turtleneck. In addition, Rue will offer $1 oysters for purchase and a special weekly cocktail from Rue’s new Bar Manager Jen Rae, who recently unveiled a brand new cocktail menu at the restaurant. For the Pop de Cochon launch, Jen will create a Bacon-Washed Manhattan for $12. There will be large format bubbles and wines being poured by Rue’s new Wine Director Andy Young, the winemaker behind the popular St. Reginald Parish wines. Working side by side with Jason Roberts, Rue’s wine program has grown to feature some of the most sought after wines in the country, including a focus on the most exciting natural wines from Oregon, France and beyond.
