Rocky Butte Farmers Market Returns For 2021 Season! Second Saturdays, June-October

February 2, 2021

Five Monthly Markets Bring Locally Grown Food and Artisan Goods to NE Portland Neighborhoods; COVID Safety Measures Are In Place

[PORTLAND, ORE., February 2, 2021] — For its 2021 summer season, Rocky Butte Farmers Market will host five monthly markets providing access to affordable, seasonal, and locally grown foods and artisan products in Northeast Portland’s historically underserved Madison South, Roseway, and Sumner neighborhoods.

Rocky Butte Farmers Market 2021 will take place the second Saturday of each month, June through October, from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M in the spacious parking lot of Mannahouse Church (9200 NE Fremont Street). The 2021 market dates are June 12, July 10, August 14, September 11, and October 9.

“We’re focusing on building an inclusive market for emerging farmers and vendors that serves the needs of our diverse community,” said Ben Cutler, President of Rocky Butte Farmers Market. “Best-practice COVID safety measures are in place to ensure the health and safety of our vendors, volunteers, customers and community.”

Rocky Butte Farmers Market is organized entirely by volunteers and funded by donations from local businesses and neighbors. Below are ways community members are invited to get involved and help make RBFM a success:

  • Apply to be a Vendor: https://www.rockybuttemarket.com/vendors

  • Make a donation: https://www.rockybuttemarket.com/donate

  • Join the RBFM Volunteer Team: https://www.rockybuttemarket.com/volunteer-with-us

  • Become a Market Sponsor: https://www.rockybuttemarket.com/sponsor-our-market

RBFM started with two extremely popular pop-up market events in 2019. The team was planning an expanded five-market season for summer 2020 when the global pandemic struck, requiring the 2020 season to be cancelled. The time, effort and donations received helped develop an even stronger foundation on which to build the market for 2021 and beyond.

ABOUT ROCKY BUTTE FARMERS MARKET: Rocky Butte Farmers Market is a registered non-profit providing area residents with access to affordable, seasonal, and locally grown foods and artisan products. Our goal is to lower barriers to market participation for beginning and under-represented vendors, and to strengthen connections within our diverse community. Rocky Butte Farmers Market 2021 season is scheduled for the second Saturday of the month, June-October, 9 A.M. to 1 P.M. at Mannahouse Church, 9200 NE Fremont St. For more information, visit https://www.rockybuttemarket.com/, Instagram @rockybuttefm, and Facebook RockyButteFM.
