Sample over a dozen apple and pear varieties from Kiyokawa Family Orchards, Trevor Baird and other Oregon orchards and get hands-on advice on which unusual apple will work for your sauce, pie or lunch pail.
Local author Andrea Slonecker will share frighteningly good pear recipes from her Short Stack Edition Pears cookbook. Pastaworks will serve up sparkling cider from Baird & Dewar, the perfect pairing for Flying Fish- Sustainable Seafood- Oregon‘s oysters with apple vinaigrette. Kids can help press fresh cider or snack themselves silly at with caramel apple pops. Pick up a fresh apple tart from Little T American Baker, complex fall chicories from Tanager Farm or pork and apple sausages from the Meat Monger.
