Reserve Now for our Guest Chef Dinner

June 26, 2019

Summer officially starts NOW! We’ve had a great first month easing into Mosier life, but we are ready for the crowds to descend.

Plan your Gorge getaway and come visit us. Whether you’re making a weekend of it or just driving out I-84, we’re here in downtown Mosier just off Exit 69, with hours every Saturday and Sunday from 12-6pm. For those that keep asking where Mosier is, it’s just one exit past Hood River and the bridge to White Salmon.

We’ve got some fun events happening in the area, so here’s some dates and details:

Saturday June 22nd – Gorge Ride. This bicycle ride starts in The Dalles Discovery Center and travels old Highway 30 all the way to Hood River and back. That means it passes by our tasting room twice! If you’re coming out to visit, we suggest you come after 2pm. The ride ends in The Dalles at 4pm so everyone should be East of us by mid-afternoon. Or come early and take in the peloton!

Saturday June 29th – Mosier Fest. The annual gathering on the school’s lawn, featuring local artisans, food, plus a stage of performers headlined by Curtis Salgado this year. You can hear the music from our patio, so we encourage you to grab food at the Fest then come over and enjoy wine and cider in your glass while chilling out a little away from the crowds. This should be a great day to introduce yourself to Mosier if you’ve not been before. More details on Mosier Fest here.

We’re putting on a dinner on the patio on Saturday July 20th with our first visiting Guest Chef in a series we hope to continue throughout the Summer months. First up is Rob Roy from Nostrana. All the details are below. If you want to join us, you better reserve your spot ASAP. Only 20 seats remain as of this writing. Ready. Set. Go.

Ciao,

Darryl & Sarah

Guest Chef Pop-Up Dinner
featuring Rob Roy from Nostrana

Saturday July 20th • 7pm • $100/person includes food & wine
Make your dinner reservations now to hang out under the evening sky with us and our special guest, Chef Rob Roy of Nostrana. Rob was one of our long-time cooks at Assaggio years ago and he is celebrating 11 years running the kitchen at Nostrana and heading up their in-house butchery and charcuterie program. Lately he’s been spending time with the famous butcher of Panzano, Dario Cecchini, honing his craft and mastering the Porchetta. He’s also a great guy to hang out with, so we couldn’t be happier to have him as our first special guest.
The menu will feature 4 courses served family style and each paired with Viola wines. We’ll start with some seafood charcuterie, move on to a pasta creation, enjoy a main course featuring porchetta and finish with a classic Italian dessert with a nod to the Gorge. The fixed price menu includes all courses of food, wine and gratuity. Tickets to the general public go on sale Saturday June 22nd and we will fill requests in the order of email responses received. To reserve, email directly and we will send you an invoice to pay online. All reservations require pre-payment and are not cancellable, but may be transferred to family or friends. With Rob’s strong focus on working with local fish and meat sources, the menu will showcase what’s in season and his skills. We politely decline menu substitutions but can accommodate food allergies. If you have a need, please let us know.

Find our new tasting room @ 1104 1st Avenue in Mosier, OR 97040.

OPEN EVERY SATURDAY & SUNDAY from 12pm – 6pm

Take I-84 to Exit 69, drive 2 minutes into town and you’ve arrived. That means we’re just 69 miles from the Moda Center, which should take you about an hour if you’re driving the speed limit!

Easy to reach, amidst the beauty of the Gorge’s transition from greenery to high desert. We can’t wait to see you there!
