Third Annual Event Includes Four-Course Dinner and Stunning Views of Fireworks from Patio
PORTLAND, Ore. June 11, 2018 – Altabira City Tavern has one of Portland’s best rooftops for this summer’s star-spangled 4th of July fireworks display. Reservations are now open for the third annual Fireworks and Dinner on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, which includes a four-course menu from chef de cuisine Greg Staerkel and front row seats to the spectacular downtown Portland fireworks display. Dinner guests will have full access to the 6th floor patio overlooking downtown Portland’s annual fireworks celebration and a reserved table for the entire evening.
Altabira will seat diners from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and the prix-fixe dinner is $65 per person, not including gratuity and beverages. A credit card is required when making reservations. Please call Altabira at (503) 963-3600 for reservations.

Watermelon gazpacho with compressed cucumber, feta, and mint oil
Fire roasted tomato caesar with confit tomatoes and parmesan-herb croutons
2nd Course (Choice of)
Blistered shishito peppers with garlic-herb yogurt dip and citrus salt
Warm calamari salad with chickpea puree, shaved fennel, pickled Fresno chili, arugula and preserved lemon vinaigrette
House cavatelli with summer squash, tomatoes, eggplant and smoked ricotta salata
3rd Course (Choice of)
Pan seared halibut with corn creamed corn, cherry tomatoes, sweet peppers and chive oil
Barbeque bourbon chicken with herb roasted corn and braised collard greens
Cast iron new york strip loin with confit potatoes, grilled squash, tomato compound butter and roasted shallot demi-glace
Sweet potato steak with green beans, roasted red peppers and white bean cassoulet
Dessert (Choice of)
Nectarine shortcake with pistachio-rose ice cream and huckleberry coulis
“Smores” tart with chocolate fudge, graham cracker, toasted marshmallow with smoked bourbon creme anglaise
Blueberry hand pies with vanilla ice cream and orange-cardamom caramel
Also available will be a special star-spangled cocktail, created by bar manager Bonny MacDonald. “Tropicality” consists of Plantation Pineapple Rum, Amaro Averna, lime, simple syrup, and cardamom tincture.
