REGISTER: Restaurant relief round tables

March 22, 2021

Hi there,

Over the next few weeks, we’re hosting a series of conversations to offer insight into the restaurant grant program included in the American Rescue Plan. These 60-minute round tables on Zoom will cover how the legislation could impact your business and how you can prepare to apply for funding. Here are the details:

Tomorrow: IRC Baker Tilly Round Table

Tomorrow at 12pm ET / 9am PT, join the IRC and Baker Tilly, a leading advisory, tax, and assurance firm, to learn how you can prepare to submit an application as part of the $28.6 billion restaurant and bar grant program. We’ll provide an overview of the Restaurant Revitalization Fund, discuss eligibility, and outline steps restaurants can take to be prepared for applications. In addition, we’ll discuss the employee retention credit and how restaurant businesses can leverage it going forward. Register here.

Weekly IRC Round Tables

Can’t make it tomorrow? We welcome you to join us at one of our weekly discussions hosted by IRC members and our government affairs specialists. Round tables will be held on Tuesday, March 30th and April 6th at 12pm ET / 9am PT, and Wednesday, March 24th, March 31st, and April 7th at 11am ET / 8am PT. Register for a Tuesday round table here or for a Wednesday round table here.

You can also visit our grants page for our latest resources.

Looking for more ways to engage?

Please take 15 minutes to complete this COVID-19 Industry Impact Survey. We’re partnering with the Good Food Media Network, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, to measure the impact of COVID-19 on the restaurant industry. This data will help us in our continued efforts to rebuild, strengthen, and move the industry forward. The more restaurants that participate, the greater impact we’ll be able to demonstrate. All restaurants and foodservice operations are eligible and will be recognized when the report is published. Deadline: March 31st.

You can also help us fundraise. Did you know that one year in, we are still entirely funded by generous donations from individuals like you, and our industry friends? Here are two ways:

The Botanist Gin is springing forward into Gin & Tonic season, and donating $5 from every Botanist Gin & Tonic sold at participating restaurants and bars in April and May to the Independent Restaurant Coalition. Donations are doubled on #NationalGinandTonicDay, Friday, April 9th. If your restaurant or bar wants to join in on the fun, sign up here. There is no cost to participate (except stocking product if it’s not already on your shelves) and donations come directly from The Botanist, not out of your sales.

Plus, our friends at Eclipse Ice Cream are helping us celebrate our first birthday by donating 100% of sales of their cowlessly creamy, people-, planet-, and animal-friendly pints to the IRC through March 28th. Click here to pick up some for yourself!

Thanks,

The IRC Team
