Reasons to Love Portland Farmers Market

February 18, 2019

We would like to take some time to appreciate the many farmers and artisan food vendors who make the Portland Farmers Market one of the very best in the country!

Nothing beats the experience of open-air shopping, getting to know our local farmers and vendors, sampling new products, and bringing home the bounty of the season.

There are countless reasons to love the Portland Farmers Market… Read our top five for February

Winter Market in Full Swing

Snow, rain and winter cold can’t stop our farmers, ranchers, and specialty food vendors from setting up every Saturday on the campus of Portland State University. Open all winter, from 9 am to 2 pm, you’ll find close to 60 vendors offering the freshest seasonal produce, baked goods, meats, seafood, cheeses and more!  Plan your visit

Annual Product Jury Underway

At the beginning of each year, Portland Farmers Market opens the vendor recruitment process to new farmers, ranchers, cheese makers, bakers, food artisans and hot food vendors interested in participating in one or more of PFM’s weekly markets. Nearly 80 new vendors applied for the 2019 season. And while the jury’s “still out” on the final crop of new participants, you can look forward to some tasty new offerings this season.

Taking to the Streets in Style!

We are jumping for joy over this awesome mural just painted on the PFM truck. Thanks to the talented duo at Rather Serve for this poppin’ fresh artwork!

Follow us to the Portland Farmers Market … See you on Saturdays!
