Rally to #ReplenishRRF with Chef José Andrés on Wednesday
It’s National Small Business Week. The Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) helped over 100,000 operators get back on their feet—but two-thirds of small businesses in the restaurant industry have not received the support they need.
We’re hosting a virtual rally this week with Chef José Andrés, co-owner of ThinkFoodGroup and Founder of World Central Kitchen, Chef Sam Kass, President Obama’s Senior Policy Advisor for Nutrition and Partner at Acre VC, Nya Marshall, owner of IVY Kitchen, and Bessie King, Founding Member, Mass Restaurants United, to urge Congress to replenish the RRF.
We hope you’ll register here and join us on Wednesday, September 15 at 11am ET / 8am PT. We’ll share an update on the current status of the replenishment effort, outline what we need to do to ensure it moves forward in Congress, and provide the tools you need to help make it happen.
Independent restaurants and bars are hanging on by a thread—over 82% of operators will likely permanently close if Congress does not swiftly replenish the Restaurant Revitalization Fund. Let’s keep the pressure up on our representatives to save our vital industry.
Congress can make a difference by replenishing the RRF. Raising our voices together will help get their attention and build the momentum we need.
