Rae’s Lights Up Brunch for 4th of July Weekend

June 29, 2017 by Food Dude

Four Brunch Mornings Kickoff Independence Day Weekend and Rae’s New Summertime Dinner Menu.

Brunch kings of the deep Northwest, Rae’s Lakeview Lounge will be offering their Weekend Brunch all through this holiday weekend including Monday morning and Tuesday, Independence Day morning. Fueled by their best-in-the-City $1 Mimosa deal, the hollandaise will be flowing for a unique four-day stand.

“We felt it our patriotic duty to keep our Weekend Brunch rolling through Fourth of July morning,” said owner/chef Todd Morey, creator of Rae’s food, drink, style and approach. “We’re not sure who will really be expected to get themselves to work on Monday, but we think it will probably be the biggest hooky day of the year, right?”

July also brings the start of Rae’s Summer Dinner Menu available 6pm to 9pm every night during the summer months. Beginning Saturday the 1st, Rae’s regular menu of skillful burgers and Northwest comfort standards will be joined by Linguine & Clams and Ahi Picatta as the nightly specials of the season.

One of Rae’s newest burgers that has been making a distinctive splash during the spring months is their exclusive Breakfast Royale, one of two new burgers offered only during Weekend Brunch. The Breakfast Royale is a hand-formed beef patty flame-
grilled to order with a fried egg, cheddar cheese, béchamel, hot house tomato, baby spinach and grilled yellow onion on a toasted bun.

Lots of Air-Conditioning Inside, Lots of Deck Outside

Instagram post 2188801124419993623_2988593889 New Lionheart Coffee in downtown Beaverton at 1st and Watson opened today. If anything like their first location it will be the best coffee in the Beaverton/Hillsboro area. Original location is on SW SchollsFerry Road. Even better, it’s next door to Big’s Chicken.

Instagram post 2133026860719047984_2988593889 I may not be at #feastpdx this week, but here are a few shots from dinner at Andus restaurant in Vilnius, Lithuania. Plum ice cream, caramelized carrots, and plum.
Instagram post 2132255118958341690_2988593889 Nice lunch of chicken molé at Mixteca at the Portland Mercado. I hate to say it, but their molé is as good as I make at home (though I’m not a huge fan of chicken breast, theirs was perfectly cooked)
