I hope this email finds you well and hanging in there during this trying time.
We are still under a stay-at-home order in Illinois and doing our best to look for silver linings.
Here are a few that I recently found.
– The word “qi” is valid in the game of Scrabble. This has been a literal game changer. (Unfortunately, usually wielded against me by one of my sons in some sort of triple point move.)
– Our youngest son, Levi, is exceptionally good at making homemade pizza. Last night we had prosciutto with arugula, finished with our Flaky Icelandic Sea Salt and Tellicherry Pepper. Be still my heart. And stomach. That reminds me, I need to exercise today.
– We thought we would be empty nesters this year. Instead, our nest is bursting with 6’ tall baby birds. We are grateful to have this extra time with our boys. Now if we could just get them to take out the trash…
Prince’s album “1999” is still fresh today. Your spices from that year, however, are not.
