PORTLAND, OR. – (Sept. 1, 2021) – Quaintrelle, once Mississippi Avenue’s destination restaurant with chef-driven tasting menus and craft cocktails, will reopen in its new, reimagined location with an expansive lush outdoor patio at 2032 SE Clinton St. on Wednesday, September 1st. The restaurant will be open Wednesdays – Sundays.

Chef Ryley Eckersley and Bar Manager Camille Cavan remain at the helm of quaintrelle and have crafted a new, playful menu reflective of the freshest and highest-quality ingredients from local purveyors in the Pacific Northwest. Chef Eckersley offers five, seven, or nine course tasting menus with optional wine pairings curated by Wine Manager Chris Cooper, and an a la carte menu. Guests can sample an array of lively dishes highlighting the freshest ingredients of the moment, including a colorful plate of peach, feta and compressed melon with Jimmy Nardello peppers, ginger and basil, a refreshing dish of oysters with watermelon granita, or an innovative chicken liver mousse with peanut brittle, peach and celery, and a side of focaccia crostini.

The new space blends quaintrelle’s signature atmospheric style with more natural light and splashes of vibrant art and eclectic decor. The space features an artful bar reflective of the creative cocktails Bar Manager Camille Cavan crafts, including The Mystical Aperture cocktail with Aviation Gin, cucumber, orgeat and melon rind cordial and Prohibition Punch with Pisco, chartreuse, velvet falernum, passionfruit, lime, tiki bitters and absinthe. In addition to the dining room, the restaurant features a spacious lush garden patio that can comfortably seat around 40 people.

“We’re thrilled to embrace this new and creative space in a neighborhood that aligns so well with our vision and experiential tasting menus,” said General Manager David Foulke. “We’re looking forward to bringing the community together, making great use of our expansive outdoor patio space, and creating lasting memories.”

Chef Eckersley, originally from London, has been influenced by his travels and work across the globe, now honing his style of bringing together global influences with Pacific Northwest ingredients. He has a talent for bringing out the best flavors in seasonal ingredients and letting them shine. Cavan, from Eugene, Ore., has years of experience as a skilled mixologist and influence from a mecca of cocktail, wine and spirits mentors. She designed quaintrelle’s new bar, building from the ground up, along with an overhaul of her inventive cocktail program. Chris Cooper curated an award-winning list of natural and limited production wines.
