Four area restaurants to have specials and parties for World Cup Soccer
Four locally owned Portland restaurants will host viewing parties during the World Cup 2018 beginning June 14-July 15, 2018. Paddy’s Bar & Grill, North 45 Pub, The Station Public House, and Independent Sports Bar & Grill will have specials and matches on their screens throughout the restaurant. All restaurants will open regular business hours for the first few rounds. Customers who are wearing soccer gear for all matches will receive a dollar off their first beer! Each restaurant will have a specific World Cup set up:
- North 45 Pub will have an 80 inch TV on the patio to show matches in a lively beer garden set up (rain or shine, the patio is open).
- The Independent Sports Bar & Grill will have the matches on one of our 32 flat panel TVs and a projection system for big games. Your team will be on!
- The Station Public House has 7 screens including 2 drop-down projectors to cheer your fave country on!
- Paddy’s Bar & Grill has a drop-down projector and their 600+ spirits sourced from throughout the globe make World Cup taste better!

About The Station Public House
Built in 1931 by Harry Hills of Hansen Construction Company, The Station Public House building was the original home of Northwestern Electric Company and is now listed on the history registry. Take a look around and you’ll notice subtle reminders of the power station’s great past. Skylights have replaced the ventilation shafts, wood floor panels cover the former generator pits, the high voltage rack is still attached to the ceiling in the bar area, and the insulators you see on the walls were excavated from beneath the rubble in the basement and re-mounted.
