(Portland, OR) In a citywide celebration of brunch and breakfast-in-a-glass, Portland Monthly brings six favorite local chefs to dish up the city’s favorite meal—brunch—at Northwest Portland’s Castaway on May 3.
In addition, to celebrate both Country Brunch and the magazine’s May cover package on the local brunch scene, Portland Monthly and Grey Goose have declared April 11–May 11 to be Bloody Mary Month!!
Country Brunch attendees will enjoy brunch dishes prepared by Fried Egg I’m in Love, The Sudra, Levant, Tastebud, Ya Hala, and Daily in the Pearl. Doug Fir will defend its titles of both People’s Choice and Judges’ Choice in the 4th Annual Bloody Mary Smackdown, presented by Grey Goose, against worthy competitors Interurban, Urban Farmer, The Original, Raven and Rose, and Levant. Guests can wash brunch down with Crispin Cider, spiked Stumptown Coffee, bottomless Red Beers, and Manmosas (beer + orange juice) made with Miller High Life.
Hank Sinatra will provide Americana-style entertainment.

100 percent of net proceeds will help launch programming in Zenger Farm’s new Urban Grange. Opening this June, the 7,760-square-foot Grange will enable the Southeast Portland urban farm to double capacity, strengthen programming, and launch new services. It will house Zenger Farm’s popular summer camps, youth field trips, healthy eating workshops, and farmer trainings and will be home base for Zenger Farm’s new food business incubator program.
