June 11, 2019

From a Pop-Up Pub to a Rugby Scrum to a Cider + Donuts Festival, the company is hosting a number of cider-centric events

CLACKAMAS, Ore. (June 11, 2019)
–– Portland Cider Co. will be participating in more than 15 cider-centric events during this year’s 8th annual Oregon Cider Week. From hosting a FIFA Women’s World Cup Brunch to taking part in the Cider Summit Portland to joining a SE Cider Crawl, Portland Cider Co. will spend 11 days celebrating its handcrafted Oregon ciders. A complete list of all events, including details and ticket links, is available on Portland Cider Co.’s website, and a curated selection of highlight events is listed below.

Rum Crush Release and Crowler Celebration: Saturday, June 22, 4pm to 9pm
The Portland Cider House at 3638 SE Hawthorne Blvd. has a new “crowler” machine. Be one of the first guests to get a 19.2 oz. Proper Pint fill from one of the cider house’s 30 craft cider taps; an excellent choice would be Rum Crush, releasing exclusively that day at the Hawthorne location. Rum Crush is a handcrafted cider full of strawberries, rhubarb, pineapple and orange aged in a rum barrel. Admission is free, crowlers and growler fills cost additional.

Cider Scrum with Portland Rugby Club: Sunday, June 23, 4pm to 6pm

Portland Cider Co. will host a Cider Scrum with the Portland Rugby Club at Rose City Futsal East, located at 5010 NE Oregon St. in Portland. Meet the Portland Pigs––the players of the Portland Rugby Club––and learn the basics of rugby while playing a friendly game of 3V3 Futsal with the Pigs and Portland Cider crew. Win huge cider prizes, all in celebration of Portland Cider Co.’s new 19.2 “Proper Pint” cans that will be available for purchase at Clive’s Public House located in Rose City Futsal. The event is free to participate, but registration is recommended.

Portland Cider Pop-Up Pub: Monday, June 24 to Sunday, June 30
Portland Cider is opening a third pub location just for Oregon Cider Week at Function, located at 919 NW 23rd Ave. in Portland. The Pop Up Pub will feature exclusive Portland Cider Co. ciders and cajun food from Right Bayou Cajun. Admission is free, cider cocktails and food cost additional.

Cider Cocktail Kick Off: Monday, June 24, 4pm to 9pm

Portland Cider Co. will kick off Oregon Cider Week with an evening of cider cocktails handcrafted by Portland Cider Co. and the team at Function, taking place at Function, located at 919 NW 23rd Ave. in Portland. Admission is free, cider cocktails cost additional.
CBD Radler Nite: Thursday, June 27, 4pm to 9pm
The Portland Cider House at 3638 SE Hawthorne Blvd. is holding a CBD Radler Takeover where guests can create their own CBD Radler blended with any of the more than 30 Oregon made ciders on tap. Admission is free, radlers cost additional, minors permitted until 5pm.

Cider + Donuts Festival: Saturday, June 29, 11am to 4pm
In celebration of Oregon Cider Week, eight local bakeries have partnered up with eight Oregon cideries for an all-day Cider + Donuts pairing event at Portland Cider Co.’s Clackamas Taproom at 8925 SE Jannsen Rd. Advance tickets are $25 online and $35 at the door, and include all eight cider tastings and morsels of all eight doughnuts.
