Portland by Mouth Food Tours SPRING 2021

March 4, 2021

Portland by Mouth Pivots and Offers Outdoor Food Tours

For immediate release Mar 4th, 2021 –

Portland by Mouth offers a private food tour, The Vibrant Kerns Hood Food Tour.

  • Portland’s Vibrant Kerns Hood private food tour starts its season in the spring of 2021
  • Until pandemic restrictions ease, all tours are private for family and friends only
  • Tours feature gourmet bites as well as a visit to food cart pods

Portland by Mouth offers guests an outdoor dining only walking food tour, exploring Portland’s first Restaurant Row, in the Kerns neighborhood.  Guests will stroll the close-in east side, focused around East Burnside and Glisan, which is home to some of Portland’s most delectable eateries.  In addition to having a progressive meal unfold through visiting five local eateries, we’ll be pointing out hidden gems like quirky shops, cozy pubs, and evening eateries.  Although this tour has been offered for three years, it has been adapted this year to be Covid-19 safe.  All dining will be outside (and covered in case of rain) and tours will be private, for just your friends and family.   Delicious highlights include Pambiche, Tails and Trotters, Tropicale, Pod 28, Wolf and Bears and Fifty Licks.

Portland by Mouth Food Tours is a locally owned and operated food tour company.  Woman-owned; it has been in operation since 2018.  Tours visit five or six locations and involve 1 to 1.5 miles of walking.  Tours incorporate discussion of Portland’s history, current going ons and of course, food and chef backstories to give a sense of context for our meal.  Playing out like a progressive meal, we start with appetizers and end with dessert, with plenty of delicious bites in between.  During the pandemic, Portland by Mouth is offering private tours, so guests can feel safe with just their family and friends.  And, the guide can truly provide each guest with personal attention.
