Portland Beverage Brand Launches “Crime-Fighting” Bitter Soda With NPR

May 4, 2021

The Bitter Housewife, a beverage brand handcrafting small-batch bitters in Portland, Oregon, just released their new limited-edition Micro-Face Bitter Soda with NPR’s Planet Money.

The Bitter Housewife Co-Founders Genevieve & Dan Brazelton learned that their favorite podcast, Planet Money, did a series of shows on licensing a comic book character called “Micro-Face”. They were inspired and made a Micro-Face Bitter Soda because who couldn’t resist a crime-frighting soda. Does this make sense? No, but isn’t it fun?

This limited-edition Micro-Face Bitter Soda is a bold, bitter soda with thirst-busting abilities. It keeps your readers focused on the task at hand and doesn’t dull their senses. It’s made from whole ingredients and contains no flavorings, sugars, or sweeteners. Your readers will taste dried cherries, fresh ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a hint of cloves balanced with a crisp, bitter finish. Not for the weak of the palate, but neither is crime-fighting.

The Bitter Housewife will donate all profit sales to NPR’s Planet Money. Learn more at thebitterhousewife.com/pages/micro-face and check out Genevieve & Dan’s Planet Money episode here.
