PORTLAND, OR, December 8 – After a major renovation, the Ponderosa Lounge & Grill will be opening again on December 14 and unveiling a new food and drink menu.
The Ponderosa Lounge & Grill has been around since 1969 and is Portland’s biggest country western bar. Located at the Jubitz Travel Center and Truck Stop in North Portland, it has featured big names like Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves and Brad Paisley, in addition to local favorites like Carrie Cunningham and Britnee Kellogg.
With this seven-month renovation, the Ponderosa Lounge & Grill has added a second bar, a larger sound booth, a VIP lounge, bigger bathrooms and much more.
The new menu has kept favorites like the Pondo Burger, topped with bacon and onion rings, but has also added some more sophisticated options, like braised pork belly and smoked salmon lollipops. “The new menu incorporates some of the Ponderosa’s classic and most popular items, as well as some new and more upscale offerings that better reflect our gorgeous new venue and hopefully exceed our customers’ expectations,” said Executive Chef Chuck Keltner.
The cocktail menu now features drinks like the Moscow Mule Wrangler and the 1910 Sidecar, but keeps fun favorites like the Cowgirl Crush for when nothing but a sweet, pink drink will do.
The Ponderosa Lounge & Grill’s Grand Opening Celebration is December 14-16 with line dancing and a county concert each night. Get more information at PonderosaLounge.com
