The next couple of months are going to be rather on again off again with bread. We have some additional camping trips, a quick adventure to New England and also celebrating a couple 50 year birthdays! So bread will not be every week for a while. Just a heads up and thank you for understanding!

Bagel Chips – Crostini – thinly sliced, toasted, olive oil and sea salt

New Cider!

 2020 Son of Man Ciders

Son Of Man is a different kind of cidery. They exclusively make basque-style cider with a simple mission: show cider haters that there is a cider they can love.

Son of man is not an alco-pop beer alternative or dietary concession. It’s a cider made with integrity, for people who love great beer, natural wine, and good food.

Basque-style cider is made once a year. Just like with wine, each vintage is uniquely delicious. It is natural by default. No added yeasts, no juice from concentrate, no added sugar and nothing artificial. Just apples and time. It is bright, wild, never sweet, and utterly drinkable.

Basque-style cider is at its best with food AND is ESPECIALLY DELICIOUS WITH ALL THINGS salty, fishy, and fatty. Nothing makes Basque-style cider more fun than the long pour. Do as the Basques do and pour the cider from a tall height to awaken the cider’s natural carbonation. If you’re bored and have a free moment google “how to pour Basque cider”… then pick up a bottle and try it for yourself!

Cidermaker’s notes:

$15 (750ml bottle)
SAGARDO is  flagship product – our PACIFIC NORTHWEST homage to the ciders we love so much from Basque Country. Sagardo has the perfect
balance of tropical fruit flavors, prickly acidity and funk, making it the ideal bottle for the dinner table. The pour top cork adds theater to the meal,
allowing you to long pour from higher heights. Sagardo is fermented spontaneously in a mix of stainless steel and American oak foeders.

$5 (12oz can)
$18 (4 pack)
BETI – “always” in Basque – is always bright, always fresh, and never sweet. Fermentation takes place spontaneously with native yeast. The cider is aged for 6 months exclusively in stainless steel to produce a cider that is endlessly crushable. Beti is bright, effervescent and has just a hint of funk, making it the perfect always-in-the-fridge cider.

week of 5/6 – Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday
