Pixie Retreat Reintroduces Plant-Based Li’l Puddin’ into New Seasons Markets

Pixie Retreat Reintroduces Plant-Based
L’il Puddin’ into New Seasons Markets

All New Seasons Markets in Portland and Vancouver to carry three flavors of Pixie Retreat’s signature organic, refined sugar-free pudding

Portland, Ore. (February 28, 2020) – Pixie Retreat, makers of plant-based, organic, mostly raw provisions in Portland, Oregon since 2008, announces the sale of their signature L’il Puddin’ in all New Seasons Markets in the Portland and Vancouver areas. Starting Saturday, February 29, New Seasons Markets will offer three Li’l Puddin’ flavors from Pixie Retreat: Vanilla with Raspberry Purée, Vanilla with Chocolate & Karmal, and Vanilla with Salted Karmal.

When co-founders Willow O’Brien and Theresa Keane opened Pixie Retreat more than ten years ago, they positioned themselves as a wholesale business. The exposure in specialty stores across the city earned them a loyal following and prompted the opening of three cafés in The Pearl, Portland’s Central Eastside, and Mississippi Avenue.

“We feel passionately about connecting with the community in our cafés,” said O’Brien. “As a small business, we decided to focus on our storefronts and pause the wholesale side of Pixie Retreat for a few years. After hearing from our longtime customers that they miss seeing us in grocery stores, we felt the time was right to partner with New Seasons,” she continued.

The L’il Puddin’ is a decadent, nutrient-rich pudding made without any refined sugars or artificial flavors. Pixie Retreat’s popular plant-based pudding is made with young Thai coconut, Irish moss, maple, and vanilla. The three flavors available at New Seasons also include raw chocolate, Oregon raspberry purée, and Pixie Retreat’s Karmal and Salted Karmal enriched with superfoods like maca, lacuma, and mesquite.

The Pixie Retreat L’il Puddin’ will be available at all 18 New Seasons Markets in Portland and Vancouver starting Saturday, February 29.
