PI DAY! It’s the BEST day of the year!
March 14th is officially known as Pi Day, because 3.14 are the first few digits of Pi (π). This originally was a holiday to celebrate the mathematical constant of pi, but it’s become something of a cult holiday to celebrate the dessert constant of pie as well.
On Wednesday, March 14th, both shops will be open and we will have lots and lots and lots of pie. We’re offering a Pi Day special on slices — get 3 slices for $14! (SEE WHAT WE DID THERE?!) We’re also taking orders for whole pies, so give us a call if you’d like to pick up a pie to bring to your Pi Day celebration. (503-235-3119)
We’ll have all the classics – Heirloom Apple, Bourbon Pecan, Banana Cream, Tart Cherry, Chocolate Chess, Blackberry Raspberry Streusel, etc. Or, try one (or more!) of our specialty seasonal pies – Meyer Lemon Chiffon, Blueberry Victoria, S’Mores Pie, Chocolate Oatmeal, Coconut Lime, and so much more! We are also making a couple of brand new pies, just for the holiday — a Raspberry Vinegar Pie (a very old timey recipe), and a Take 5 Pie.
Downtown will be open 7am-5pm and Division 8am-10pm so pop over and treat yo self to 3 slices in the name of PI and MATH. (And, if you’d like to wash that pie down with a tasty beverage, our Cherry Gin Rickey cocktail will only be $5 on Pi Day at our Division Shop!)
See all you nerds on 3.14! AND HAPPY PI DAY TO ALL!
In honor of Pi Day, our friends at Reverend Nat’s Hard Cider are making 3 pie soaked ciders, including a cider made with our Blackberry Raspberry Streusel pie. (WHAT?!)
They’ll be serving these special pie ciders on Pi Day only, so be sure to head on over to their taproom on 3.14!
